The project of the Residence séniors, located in the heart of Diekirch on a public utility land (BEP), as studied and developed during several years, would have been composed of 37 framed dwellings, 1 bedroom (57m2) and 2 bedrooms (102m2), with the bonus of a restaurant, destined to the public;It would have consisted of 37 units of 1 to 2 bedroom housing (57 to 102m2), with a restaurant, intended for people aged 60 and over, but also for people with limited mobility.
Sold in part (31 apartments out of 37), this magnificent project has been cancelled by the judge of the court of appeal who ruled that it was in the public interest in a different way.
All the apartments would have been classified and fitted out according to the Luxembourgish norms regulating the housing for seniors or motor handicapped persons, in agreement with the ITM and the Ministry of Family, from which all the authorizations had been obtained.
